I am a painter and ceramicist living and working in London. I work from my studio in what was at one time an old brush factory in Bethnal Green, East London.

I enjoy the freedom of mark making and of using references from magazines, billboards, writing and everyday observations. Colour can sometimes be the dominant force in my work whilst at other times just randomly placed.

Images/marks on paper can either be a starting point for a painting or a piece of work in itself. Sometimes a collage can feed a painting, sometimes a painting can feed a collage. I never quite know what I’m going to do but I do know what I’m going to do.
